Aleš Foff (*1981) studied Advertising with a specialization in Advertising Photography at Orange Factory (2004–2007), under the guidance of Professor Miroslav Vojtěchovský (Head of the Department of Photography at FAMU from 1990 to 1999, Professor at American University, Washington D.C., from 1999 to 2003). In 2003, Aleš began photographing snowboarding for Czech and international magazines and media, including Freemagazine, Freeride.cz, Board, Pleasuremag, Onboard, and others. After graduating in 2007, he shifted his focus toward commercial and advertising photography. He collaborates with leading domestic advertising and creative agencies, shooting campaigns for brands such as Škoda Auto, Pilsner Urquell, Heineken, Heureka, Česká Spořitelna, Komerční Banka, Sazka, Samsung, and many more. In 2012, he co-founded Flux Films alongside Adam Vopička, Pavel Brůček, Lukáš Chromek, and others. Aleš specializes in photographing people and characters in studio settings, working with photographic flashes and cinematic lighting on set. He has a passion for vibrant images and natural daylight. A significant part of his work involves collaborating with film crews on large-scale productions, where he excels at creating well-composed shots within tight time constraints. His ability to improvise quickly and independently makes him a favorite among production teams and clients alike. He divides his time between Prague and Stříbrná Skalice, where he lives with his wife and two children near the Sázava River. He enjoys jogging, biking, sauna, the Czech countryside and nature, freeriding in the Alps, and—most importantly—is a huge fan of electric guitar, always played not just at 11, but one louder.
